Mechanix recipes will not be maintained on this site. To view recipes, please install Roughly Enough Items. With this mod, you can view the recipes for any item by hovering over it and pressing R, or all recipes for a machine by hovering over it and pressing U.
Mechanix has built-in support compatibility for tooltips to gain information about the fluids or energy in a machine at a glance! To take advantage of these, make sure to install WTHIT, Fabric's premier tooltip mod.
Mechanix energy is fully cross-compatible with Tech Reborn energy. Tech Reborn acts as a compatibility layer between all other Fabric tech mods and makes Mechanix compatible with all other popular Fabric tech mods.
Mechanix fluids have plans to be compatible with the release of the Fabric fluid API in 1.17
The wrench interacts with pipes in unique ways to allow more compact creations. You can right click the sides of pipes and cables with a wrench to prevent them from connecting to other pipes and cables on that side to create adjacent networks that don't combine. Shift right clicking an item pipe will toggle round robin mode for the pipe (can also be done through the pipe's GUI).
This is the energy meter. Fully red indicates the machine is storing the maximum energy it can. Hovering over the display will provide a tooltip with the exact amount of energy the machine has and can store.
This is a fluid tank, which displays the amount of fluid in a slot in the machine (Just like an item slot). Hovering over will provide the name of the fluid and the current capacity. Click on a fluid tank with a bucket to extract one bucket of fluid from the tank, or click with a filled bucket to desposit more fluid into the tank. A tank can store one type of fluid at a time. As this tank is to the left of the processing arrow, it is an input.
This is the processing arrow, which indicates the progress of the machine's current operation. As it fills up the operation gets closer to completion.
This is an item slot. As it is to the right of the processing arrow it is an output.
This is the input/output panel, which is essential to use for machine automation. Hovering over the buttons in the panel will show what aspect of input/output the panel controls, i.e. energy, fluid, items, or a combination. The letters on the button indicate the face they control: the button labelled 'N' would control the north face of the machine. Clicking on the button will switch the mode. Red indicates no input or output, blue indicates just input, orange indicates just output, and green indicates both input and output.
This is the upgrade panel of the machine, where you can add and remove upgrades. Each upgrade has its own rules, so you may be able to insert multiple of some upgrades and none of others if they aren't compatible with that machine.
This is the player inventory and hotbar, which you can use to transfer items and fluids from the machine's inventory, fluid tanks, and upgrade slots.
Both fluid and item pipes will only extract from a container if it is both attached to the container and it has a servo on the connected end of the pipe. In the image above you can see the servo on the left side of the left pipe.
Fluid and item pipes with servos can have custom filter settings set by right clicking them. The buttons on the right explain their effect upon hovering over them. The checkmark indicates a whitelist, while the grayed out grass block indicates mod match is off. The whitelist makes it so only fluids in the grid (click with a bucket to add, or click the fluid to remove it) can pass through that pipe. Note that pipes can filter midway, not just at extraction.
